Matthew Briggs began his entrepreneurial career as a founder of 700Credit. 700Credit is now the nation’s largest credit reporting reseller. Through this business venture, he gained unparalleled experience, training, and industry knowledge that paved the way for his future endeavors.
While at 700Credit, Mr. Briggs’ responsibilities included business development, vendor partners, product development, FCRA compliance, sales & marketing strategy and technology. His unique mix of managerial, creative, and technological expertise contributed to 700Credit’s explosive growth amidst an evolving market. Under his direction, 700Credit grew from an entrepreneurial start up to one of the nation’s largest credit reporting providers. His accomplishments there include forging a successful partnership with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP) & Reynolds & Reynolds.
From 700Credit, Matthew founded ScreeningOne. ScreeningOne provides innovative background screening and drug testing solutions to thousands of businesses nationwide. ScreeningOne was acquired by Property Brands.
Most recently, Matthew co-founded ComplyScreen, a full service “White Label” ATS.
Strategist, innovator, team player and successful entrepreneur, Mike Byrd has been leading the background screening and hiring industry since 1999.
His leadership skills were honed at Vanderbilt University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development, while playing professional baseball with the Cleveland Indians, and as a graduate of the University of Chicago’s strategic sales management program.
Soon after completing his education, Mike became president and partner of ScreeningOne and helped build it into a global background screening company. This innovative company provided 100% compliant, pre-employment and drug testing for both large and small organizations and was recently acquired by Property Brands.
Currently, Mike is CEO of ApplicantOne and ComplyScreen. These hiring and screening applications provide innovative, superior and time-saving software, helping employers recruit, screen and hire the best possible prospects for a more productive and efficient workplace.
With a dedication to integrity and customer service as his cornerstone ideals, Mike continues to pursue new and better ways to lead the industry. He is a results-focused leader with a proven track record of generating new business and building long-term customer relationships.
Dave Tonkin is the Director of Product Development for ComplyScreen where he is responsible for overseeing the direction of company technology, software development, project management and customer service.
Tonkin brings more than 25 years of experience in the development and leadership of technology strategies to ComplyScreen. He was previously the Director of Product Development of ScreeningOne for 6 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Professional Employer Organization, Selective HR, for 9 years in development/management roles, and worked for Mutual of New York Insurance as a programmer analyst for 9 years.
In his personal time, Dave enjoys time with his family and competitive sailing. He has served various non-profit organizations and held active leadership roles such as vice commodore of the Oswego Yacht Club, Board of Director for the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation, Cub Scout leader for pack 606 and is currently a Racing Coach for Tampa Sailing Squadron’s Youth Sailing Association.
Derrek Lyons, a graduate from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, is the East Coast Regional Sales Manager for ComplyScreen ATS.
Prior to joining ComplyScreen ATS, Derrek was a top Sales Manager for Follett Education. Before that, Derrek was working in Human Resources, where he was a corporate recruiter – staffing positions from entry level to executive.
In Derrek’s free time, he enjoys traveling the world, trying new recipes and spending time with his family.
